It&#8217;s a great way to get paid to write cool and nifty words about products and services.<br />
Some say I have a knack for making the normal not so normal. I take it as a compliment.<br />

Various ideas flowed like water, but for some reason I had this Elvis Presley tune continue to hammer my head&#8230; Viva, Las Vegas.<br />
It was lively, cathcy, and memorable.<br />
The Pfizer people loved it. And now I&#8217;m sure many people are hearing that tune in a different light.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you seen those commercials where the middle-aged man comes walking into the office with an extra spring in his step and smile on his face?</p>
<p>I call these ads the happy-face-guy ads.<br />
The premise being the cause of his sudden &#8216;happiness&#8217; being a victory over his erectile dysfunction and a return to the virile activities of youth.</p>
<p>All in all not a bad concept, but I feel the execution of the ads is a bit unrealistic.<br />
No man, however happy in that area, skips around with a toothpick smile and happy-go-lucky attitude (all the time) just because his ED is in check.</p>
<p>A much more subtle and effective campaign is the current Viagra campaign with the real-life actors and situations.</p>

When our firm was faced with the challenge to come up with a new advertising slogan or jingle for the successful ED treatment drug, Viagra, I must say it was not my idea that made the grade.<br />
By now, everyone in America is singing the Viva, Viva&#8230; tune in a different light.</p>

<p>Pfizer, the manufaturer of the little blue pill, has done a masterful job at promoting their porduct to the right target audience as well as giving their ads a memorable nuance.</p>
<p>Whenever my kids and I see one of those Viva&#8230; spots, they sing it for the next few hours.</p>
<p>It can get old, but it proves the power of good marketing.</p>

<p>It seems there&#8217;s been a rash of abuse of the popular erectile dysfunction medication, Viagra, making its way around younger circles of men.</p>
<p>This medication is primarily prescribed to middle-age, and older men suffering from the often embarrassing effects of erectile dysfunction, or ED.</p>
<p>The vast majority of younger men simply do not need it, which is why the aforementioned news is disturbing.</p>
<p>No matter how the pills are being obtained, they are. And the result is becoming a party-like atmosphere.</p>
<p>I suppose this goes to show that with every good product, there can be an abuse.</p>
